Chai Tea + Savory Pumpkin Bread

I don't know about you but I am always down for a really yummy afternoon snack. You know, those snacks that you want to enjoy in silence as you sit there and savor the moment of the glorious snack that makes you feel just so fuzzy and complete? I'm talking those type of snacks. And because it's now my favorite season, Fall, I have been obsessed with the combination of Pumpkin Bread and Chai Tea. Oh yes, a nice warm cup of freshly made chai tea and a moist, melt in your mouth piece of pumpkin bread.  My mouth is watering right now.



I've been totally putting my huge tea cup/bowl to use this fall season and it's just perfect for a large cup of warm, fuzzy goodness. I also baked my first baked good for the season and I chose to tackle pumpkin bread, my first try, and I made two loaves of bread, that are now almost gone. I aways thought that pumpkin bread was going to be difficult to make because the word "bread" scared me. But it's super easy and it's so delicious. Here is what I did:


Ashlee's Savory Pumpkin Bread.


Servings: 2 Loaves
Prep: 20 min
Cook Time: 65 min

What You Need:
2 Cups - All Purpose Flour
1/2 teaspoon - Salt
1/2 teaspoon - Baking Powder
1 teaspoon - Baking Soda
1 teaspoon - Ground Cloves
1 teaspoon - Ground Cinnamon
1 teaspoon - Ground Nutmeg
2 Cups - Granulated White Sugar
3/4 Cup - Unsalted Soften Butter
2 Large Eggs
15oz - Libby's 100% Pure Pumpkin


Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven to 325 degrees. Lightly spray Loaf Pans. (8 1/2" x 4 1/2")
2. Combine Flour, Salt, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, and all Spice in bowl. Mix.
3. In Large Bowl or Electric Mixer, medium speed, beat butter and sugar until blended.
4. Add Eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each addition. Continue beating until
fluffy and than add in pumpkin and beat will together.
5. Lower your speed and beat dry mixture until combined and smooth.
6. Separate batter evenly two loaf pans and bake for about 65 minutes or until
a cake tester or toothpick comes out clean. 
7. Let Cool for 10 minutes on a cooling rack.

Ashlee's Delicious Chai Tea
Prep: 2 Min
Cook Time: 7 minutes

What You Need:
1 Chai Tea Bag ( I use Tazo)
3/4 Cup - Milk. ( I use 2% but anything works)
1/4 Cup- Boiling Water (I usually use a little more)
Cinnamon
Honey

Instructions:
1. Boil water, and then pour over teabag in mug of choice
2. Let tea steep for 3-5 minutes while you prepare milk.
3. Warm Milk (make sure not to burn) and then place in blender or frother.
4. Froth (or blend) hot milk for 1 minute. Make sure not to let steam out. 
5. Pour milk into mug with tea and remove teabag.
6. Add Honey to taste. I usually about a tablespoon.
7. Top off with ground cinnamon and mix.
